Q. Do I have to pay anything to join Playapal.com?

A. No. Unlike many other multiplayer games sites, you don't have to pay to register or play. You do need to register to play the games, but all we require is a valid email address. On Playapal.com the games really are "free to play"!

Q. I've lost/forgotten my password, what should I do?

A. Simply click on the 'Forgotten your password' link on the homepage and a new password will be sent to you.

Q.Why can't I connect?

A. At the moment only 300 players can play at the same time. This limit may be raised in the future according to demand.If you are unable to connect please wait a few minutes and try again.

Q. Why are some conversations monitored?

A. Playapal moderators regularly monitor conversations on this website. This is to ensure that players are not using inappropriate language. Players who persistently use inappropriate language may be warned or banned by one of the moderators.

Q. I got kicked off during a game. Why?

A. Use of bad language during a game will result in you being kicked from the game, and your opponent will win the game. Players who persistently use bad language will be banned by one of the moderators.

Q. How do I know if I have been banned?

A. If you see the message 'Your membership has been disabled' then you have been banned.

Q. The page loads but the game doesn't appear. Why?

A. All the games on Playapal.com require Macromedia's Flash plug-in. This can be downloaded for free from the Macromedia website. Please use the following link to ensure your browser has the most up to date version of the plug-in: Click here

Q. Why do some of the games run slowly in my browser?

A. There can be several reasons for this. It could be that you have other browser windows open which are interfering with the game - try closing any windows you don't need. It's also worth checking that you have the latest version of the Flash plug-in.

Q.Who makes the games on Playapal.com?

A. All of the games on this website were developed by the Mousebreaker Team.

Q. Can I put these games on my own website?

A. At the moment these games are only available on this site and are not available for licensing.

Q. How do Multiplayer Flash Games work?

A. Running these Multiplayer Flash Games requires a socket server to allow fast data transfer. On Playapal.com we use Electrotank's Electroserver v3.0 for this.

Q. Can I link to Playapal.com from my own website?

A. We're always happy for other websites to link to Playapal.com, but please link to the homepage, NOT the game page itself, as players will need to be logged in to access the game. Alternatively you can link to the Mousebreaker Homepage at Mousebreaker.com.

Stats, Medals, Results and Rankings

Q. What are the medal icons in the top left corner for?

A. Playapal awards medals on a daily basis to the players with the highest rankings. Medals are awarded for First Place (Gold), Second Place (Silver), Third Place (Bronze), Top Ten and Top Twenty finishes.If you finish in the Top Twenty players in any one day period, you will be awarded the appropriate medal.

Q. How are the rankings worked out?

A. Player rankings are based on the number of wins and more specifically the number of unique wins. So the more individual players you beat in a one day period, the higher your ranking will be.

Q. Over what period are the rankings calculated?

A. Player rankings are calculated over a 24 hour period, from Midnight to Midnight UK time.

Q. Where are my Personal Stats stored?

A. We store some information about the games you've played in our database; stats such as how many times you've played and how many games you've won or lost.
